Carli Richards, who was in the theatre in Aurora, Colorado during the screening of The Dark Knight Rises when suspect James Holmes allegedly opened fire, killing 12 and injuring 58 - responded to Mustaine’s inane comments, telling TMZ, "Some people think the President is a good scapegoat, but he didn't shoot me. It’s obviously kind of absurd and people who make up conspiracies just want attention."

For those who might have missed it, Mustaine last week told an audience in Singapore, "Back in my country, my president is trying to pass a gun ban. So he's staging all of these murders, like the Fast And Furious thing down at the border and Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there. And now the beautiful people at the Sikh temple.
"I don't know where I'm gonna live if America keeps going the way it's going because it looks like it's turning into Nazi America."
Uh huh. Meanwhile, fabulously named Gwar frontman Oderus Urungus expressed his disgust with Mustaine via social media, writing, “I don't need to berate Dave Mustaine to make him look like an a--hole. He does fine just by opening his mouth.
“To say something as ignorant and insensitive as Obama 'staged' the recent U.S. mass shootings you would have to be… ME! I just can't think of anything more ignorant or insensitive right of the top of my head…"
Jeesh. When members of Gwar are the voice of reason, it might be time to give your head a shake. Mustaine is lucky to live in a country where free speech is possible. Too bad he consistently chooses to abuse the privilege.

Sorry, but I just can't see Barack Obama deliberately coercing troubled white people to shoot up movie theaters and Sikh temples in middle America to prove a point about gun control in US. Time to backtrack on that statement.

Sure, he may be a conspiracy theorist and maybe even a little crazy, but Mustaine's feelings on the current US president do not make him an "extreme right-winger". Clearly the author of this article has never listened to the lyrics of 'Forclosure of a Dream' or any other Megadeth song for that matter.
