Say what you will about KISS bassist Gene Simmons and his dubious forays into reality TV and brand-building (and yes, that hair). When it comes to butt-kicking rock and roll, you can’t touch the guy.

So the fact that he is credited with discovering Canuck combo The Envy – even signing them to his Simmons Records label – speaks volumes about what the band has to offer.

We can sum it up with a few choice adjectives: charisma, passion, force, plus buckets of groove and enough guitar menace to flatten the weak-kneed with a single scorching riff. And did we mention heavy?

So we are positively stoked to exclusively premiere a live performance video of the band ferociously throwing down their new single “Moth to the Flame.” Sizzle, baby, sizzle. The clip was filmed in a warehouse somewhere in downtown Toronto (oooh sounds menacing!) and it’s is on their new EP Deception available online now.

Check it out below.
