Folks call rocker Ted Nugent the “Motor City Madman” but what are we going to christen his drummer: the “soused scamp?” The “fleeing fire-breather?” The task takes on some urgency given Mick Brown’s hilarious (sort of) recent drunken brush with the law.

According to police in Bangor, Maine - where Nugent’s band performed with fellow classic rockers Styx and REO Speedwagon Friday night - an intoxicated Brown, 55, reportedly stole a golf cart belonging to the venue after the show and went on a bit of a spree.

Impressively, he apparently picked up two women along the way, the police department says on its Facebook page (who knew?) where Brown’s wiggy mug shot is posted.

"As (officers) attempted to stop Brown, he accelerated past them, past a third officer and when a security officer got close enough to stop him, Brown allegedly shoved the officer," the police report.

"At that point two other security officers physically removed Brown from the cart and placed him on the ground."

Brown, who is based in Arizona, was arrested and later released on $4,000 bail, and faces a court date of Aug. 15 for charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger, theft and assault, according to MSNBC.

The best line from the police report reads, "No damage was reported to the cart although two traffic cones were damaged, one still under the cart, significantly so."

Ha! Save the cones!

And really, am I the only one who kind of thinks it’s awesome when rockers actually do something kind of edgy? It might be different if someone was hurt but in this case, the whole incident just kind of makes us giggle.
