If Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil’s strip club and KISS’s mini-golf course weren’t reason enough to pack the bags and head to Las Vegas, now there’s this: Bon Jovi and Aerosmith will (perhaps improbably) join Taylor Swift, Green Day, No Doubt, Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Deadmau5 and Rihanna at an upcoming Sin City festival.

Now that's a lineup. The  second annual IHeartRadio Music Festival will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino’s Grand Garden Arena on Sept. 21 and 22. Given how impressive the talent for the event is, it’s staggering that American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, who’s serving as master of ceremonies, could summon only platitudes in a press release:

“The iHeartRadio Music Festival is a unique celebration of music - it’s the biggest names in the industry coming together for an impressive weekend of live entertainment. The momentum, energy and music experience around the inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival was incredible, and I’m excited to be a part of this must-see event.”

Yada yada yada. Somebody get this guy a defibrillator, stat. C’mon: this is Aerosmith touting a brand new album! Bon Jovi kicking out the hits! Deadmau5 whipping the masses into a lather! Rihanna… uh… jiggling her bits! Let’s have some enthusiasm already – jeesh!

Anyhoo, as Ultimate Classic Rock notes, last year’s festival was timed to coincide with the launch of the IHeartRadio digital music service, which currently has more than 10 million registered users. Tickets for the festival go on sale Saturday at 1:00PM EST at Ticketmaster. More info here.
