It was only a matter of time before the bright lights over at Funny or Die got around to skewering the celebrity judges on American Idol, The Voice and X Factor. But who knew they'd command such talent to do it?
Witness as classic rocker Meat Loaf, alt-rockers Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction) and Serj Tankian (System of a Down), pop stars Debbie Gibson and Natalie Imbruglia and YouTube phenom Rebecca Black poke fun at Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson, Adam Levine and the rest.
In their new clip dubbed ‘U B Da Judge,’ celebrities vie for their chance to sit in the judging chair on the new reality competition, in essence. As one of the judges of the would-be judges notes, the new show needs the right mix of judging talent which includes, “the mean one, the pushover or the Randy Jackson.” Cue the star-studded auditions with Perry Farrell aping Steven Tyler, Meat Loaf doing the Adam Levine (or maybe it’s the Christina Aguilera) chair-spin, Debbie Gibson throwing up her hands in defeat and so on.Strangely given the star power, this is perhaps one of the least funny Funny or Die clips I've seen, but it’s still worth a peek.
