Here are four words I bet you never, ever thought you'd say: Nikki Sixx, Renaissance Man.

And yet… he's already a best-selling author, clothing designer, acclaimed photographer, aspiration lifestyle guru and… oh yes… a certified rock god. Now Mötley Crüe bass wrangler Nikki Sixx adds radio morning man to his CV.

Though it'll be targeting the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, the show "Sixx Sense With Nikki Sixx" will be available online on 97.1 The Eagle's web site, KEGL.com, as well as on iHeartRadio.com and via the iHeartRadio mobile app.

Sixx and cohort Kerri Kasem will be broadcasting weekday mornings from 6:00 am to 10:00 am; video of the announcement is below.

For his part, Sixx is quoted by Blabbermouth as saying, "Who better to start your morning with than a rock star and a hot chick? It's a dream come true to have a morning show on one of America's best rock stations."

So yeah, Crüe songs ahoy although presumably Sixx will be tucked into bed by 10 pm each night to be rested up for the show which isn't very rock star… unless, of course, he is tucked in with someone employed by his Crüe compatriot Vince Neil over at his Vegas peeler bar Girls, Girls, Girls.

Just saying. No word on who will cover for Sixx when he and the Crüe hit the road this summer along with KISS. Remote broadcasts maybe? Or maybe someone from Dokken or Cinderella or Tesla can fill in? (Those guys may have some free time on their hands).

Stay tuned.

Wait! There's tons more Crüe-cial info to read (nyuck, nyuck)
