If you love swamp-boogie rockers Creedence Clearwater Revival and live in Canada – and what a complimentary combo that is – then woo-wee have we got good news for you!

Singer/songwriter John Fogerty has just announced a cross-Canada fall tour starting in Newfoundland and ending in B.C. and quoting two benchmark CCR records: 1969’s Bayou Country and 1970's Cosmo's Factory.

Fogerty will play each record in its entirety on alternate nights, along with a second set of hits, according to a report in Jam! Music.

The 66-year-old singer/guitarist’s outing – which carries the unwieldy, Fiona Apple-esque name of "Wrote a Song for Everyone: John Fogerty Performs Live! The Albums of Creedence Clearwater Revival" - promises 16 dates and loads of monster hits, including “Bad Moon Rising,” “Suzie Q,” “Proud Mary,” “Down on the Corner,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” and “Fortunate Son.”

Complete itinerary below. Tickets for most shows go on sale Friday or Saturday (May 4 or 5) at Ticketmaster, and are priced between $20 and $70 before fees and taxes. Willie Nelson's son Lukas Nelson and his band The Promise of the Real are the opening act, which is intriguing, no?

As to that crazy tour title? It apparently tees up Forgerty’s upcoming solo album (titled Wrote a Song for Everyone and due this fall) which features newly recorded versions of his oldies along with new songs, performed by Fogerty and guest stars such as Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, My Morning Jacket, Keith Urban, and Brad Paisley. Cool!

This man is a music genius - and his band, then and now. Better than the Beatles, better than the Rolling Stones. I remember 'Proud Mary' coming out when I was in school in England. The music is as pertinent now as it was then, only now I understand the relevance of it which I didn't at 14.
