File under: unlikely friendships. Then again, given the pair's shared affection for tats, scary movies, skanky chicks and black eyeliner, maybe not.
New BFFs Marilyn Manson and Johnny Depp have been turning up all over the place lately, notably with Depp joining the perennial fashion risk during a performance Revolver magazine’s Golden Gods Awards in Los Angeles earlier this month and Manson performing at Depp’s son John's 10th birthday party recently.
(Jeesh… can you imagine Marilyn Manson playing your birthday party? What was in the goody bags - snakes and dirty syringes?)
Now it appears the dashing duo have teamed to cover 70s-era pop singer Carly Simon's signature song, ‘You’re So Vain’ though we'll have to take their word for it since Depp isn't exactly forefront in the mix.
As Australia's Noise 11 notes, the song will be a bonus track on Manson’s forthcoming Born Villain disc, arriving next week. Kind of reminiscent of Manson's take on the Eurythmics ‘Sweet Dreams,’ huh? Check it out below.
I love it! Marilyn Manson always puts such a great sound to the songs he covers. And as for Johnny Depp, rock on!

I'm not a MM fan at all....but one thing I will say is, he does amazing covers. His take on other peoples tunes is just brilliant!
