According to Gawker, publicist Steve Martin had some choice words of his own: “What I want and what I think are realistic options are very different things. What I want would be to have the headline changed to, say, "Crazy Woman Says Insane S--t No One In Their Right Mind Would Believe."

Hahahaha. For what’s it’s worth, the tweets fired from Love’s private Twitter account @cbabymichelle are a cornucopia of misspellings and bad grammar. “I hear from frannies roommate that @davegrohl hit on frances, and that she was curious. I'm not mad at her, him I am about to shoot, dead.”

In a series of tweets, Love, 47, then went on to rant about Grohl's supposed obsession with anything relating to her late husband, Kurt Cobain. “It could be a riumnour the actual sex, and its not beans fault she's not slutty in any way, at all, HES OBSESSED,” she wrote, looping in Twitter handles @GregSmeltzer and @davegrohl.

The latter account doesn’t actually belong to the real Grohl, but to an IT guy in Germany, according to Gawker.

Sigh. Of course, the discord between Love and Grohl runs deeps and long; just last November, Love was upset by a fan carrying a poster with an image of late Nirvana singer and ex-husband Kurt Cobain during a festival in Brazil, and seized the opportunity to rail against him from the stage.

“Throwing that up is stupid and rude and I’ll beat the f--k out of you if you do that again. Go see the f--king Foo Fighters and do that sh-t,” she yelled before storming off the stage.

She also slammed the recent Muppets movie for playfully covering the Nirvana song “Smells Like Teen Spirit” – saying the rendition “raped” the memory of her dead husband - despite the fact that both Grohl and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic had given their blessing.

Well, there’s no doubt the world would be duller without Love and frankly, her outbursts do more damage to her rep than anyone else’s. Still you have to wonder – does this woman need help? And is anyone in a position to offer it? Let’s just hope Love and Sinead O’Connor never cross paths; the result could be diabolical.
