There’s only one Canadian date lined up (Toronto on September 13) but it might be worth a road trip to catch metal maulers KISS and Mötley Crüe in concert this summer, complete with full-scale staging, pyro, costumes and, inevitably, lots of lots of pricey merchandise for sale.
The bands yesterday announced the 40-city jaunt. Apparently, each band will play a 90-minute set with KISS headlining each night because, as Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx noted, it was he who had a KISS poster on his wall growing up, and not the other way around.
Keeners will note this is actually the second time KISS and Crüe are hitting the road together: the latter opened for the former on their 1982 Creatures of the Night tour. (Put a gold star beside your name if you knew that!) Complete tour dates follow the jump.
