KISS has done it, and so have Motörhead and Whitesnake. Now Aussie rock brawlers AC/DC are bringing their own wine to the UK… can the rest of the world be far behind?

Laithwaites Wine, the independent UK wine merchant, has announced its launch of AC/DC The Wine which finds the band and retailer teaming with Australia's Warburn Estate wineries to make the drink. Apparently, AC/DC The Wine is already a hit Down Under (naturally) so global domination can’t be far behind. Plus Australian wine is GOOD, so, yeah, count us in.

Two types of wine will be available: the fabulously named Back in Black Shiraz 2011 - Barossa (from £9.99 a bottle) and the twee Hells Bells Sauvignon Blanc 2011 – Marlborough (from £9.99 a bottle).

This has been a bonanza moment of branding for the wee rockers; a spiffy AC/DC pinball machine recently hit the market on the heels of an AC/DC app and the group is still riding high on its eye-popping HD concert film, Live at River Plate.

Well played, gents, well played.
