It’s just about the nuttiest video you’ll see today (cute kittens tumbling into baskets of laundry notwithstanding) and it easily constitutes the weirdest concept in rock since Metallica recorded with Lou Reed.
It’s Meat Loaf, hot on the promotional trail hyping his new Hell in a Handbasket album, comparing masked metal maulers Slipknot to classical composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Check it out below.
Unfortunately, the clip is so short that we don’t have the opportunity to hear Meat Loaf explain his remark or put it into a broader context which I’m sure he does; he is after all, a very smart and talented cookie and unlikely to make flippant suggestions about another artist’s work.
Still, it qualifies as an ideal 20-second time-waster, courtesy Metal Hammer. Enjoy.
