A new video from L.A. funk/rock mob the Red Hot Chili Peppers has been released for the song “Look Around” and the story behind its creation is pretty neat.
According to the band’s official site, the four members performed in separate rooms with all four filmed simultaneously by four cameras in the round. “Each room loosely represented the band members' personalities," the site adds, "so almost all the props and artwork in the rooms came from their personal collections.”
Interesting, no? So decorating-wise, we can deduce that singer Anthony Kiedis is something of a minimalist, bassist Flea is a stereotypical homebody, drummer Chad Smith the fitness-freak bachelor while new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer’s taste run to the ascetic. Director Robert Hales tells Spinner the whole shebang was completed in four takes.
In other news, a new batch of tour dates have been added to the I’m With You world tour, so named for the group’s latest album. Tickets for shows in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal (happening April 27, 30 and May 2, respectively, with more added TBA) go on sale this weekend.
