If the half-time presence of Madonna – possibly abetted by LMFAO and Cee Lo Green – during the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show doesn’t offer music fans enough incentive to catch the February 5 showdown between the New York Giants and the New England Patriots, maybe this will.
Car maker Kia has revealed that an ad for its new Snow Pearl White 2012 Optima Limited - which will air during the fourth quarter of the big game – features rock and roll bad boys Mötley Crüe, Victoria’s Secret model Adriana Lima and MMA fighter Chuck Liddell. Hoo-ey, talk about star-studded. Check out the teaser below.
Ultimate Classic Rock reports that the commercial, dubbed “Drive the Dream,” shows the car racing through a Gen X couple’s dreams as they sleep. Apparently, the couple is visited by Mr. Sandman, who sprinkles Sweet Dreams dust over them. He overdoes it and things go haywire.
That’s where the Crüe, Lima and Liddell come in. Says UCR, “Lima will wave the checkered flag at a speedway, while Liddell will be in the ring. The Crüe will be rocking out in concert to their song “Kickstart My Heart.” There’s flames, fireworks, sandwiches and a cameo of champion bull rider Judd Leffew, who gets busy taming a rhinoceros.”
Sandwiches, eh? Intriguing. The “Drive the Dream” ad is also set to premiere February 2 on more than 18,000 movie screens across the U.S. which makes its presence on YouTube all but imminent. Cool, since Canadians always get the short-shrift on Super Bowl ads. Can’t wait.
