How do you celebrate the sales of 10 million albums? With expensive champagne, a fabulous dinner, quiet contemplation on a yoga mat? Remind us to ask Dave Grohl and the gang next time we see them; the band just reached that milestone, having moved some 10 million units in the U.S. alone.

So actually the total sales including foreign markets would be even higher. Yowza. Nielsen SoundScan tracks sales in America and lists the Foo’s 1997 album Colour & The Shape as its biggest seller, moving more than 2.3 million copies.

In addition, according to a report at Noise 11, Nielsen BDS captures radio spins and awarded the band for being played more than 4 million times on American radio. Foo Fighters collected the award backstage at their sold out Madison Square Garden show in New York last month.

Foo Fighters top sellers in the U.S. are:

1. Colour & The Shape (1997) 2,342,000
2. Foo Fighters (1995) 1,468,000
